Privacy

FND Connect CIC provides public information pages and a members-only community area for adults affected by Functional Neurological Disorder.

What this site collects

The public information pages can be read without an account. The community area collects the details needed to run member accounts, including email address, password hash, display name, profile information you choose to add, posts, comments, reactions, follows, saved items, reports and moderation records.

Health-related community content

Community posts may include information about FND symptoms, treatment experiences, disability, support needs or caring responsibilities. FND Connect treats this as potentially special category health data. Members give explicit consent during signup for this content to be processed for the purpose of running, safeguarding and moderating the community.

Community visibility

Community content is intended for signed-in members. Public display names are used; real names are not required. Members can edit their profile visibility and can ask FND Connect about account deletion or export workflows.

Moderation and safety

Reports, urgent-risk flags and moderation actions may be reviewed by FND Connect administrators and moderators. The community is peer support only and is not a medical advice, emergency or crisis service.

Facebook Login

Facebook Login is optional and, when configured, requests public profile and email only. FND Connect does not require Facebook to join. Facebook data deletion requests can be made by contacting FND Connect or by using Meta's app data deletion process.

Server logs

Like most websites, the hosting server may keep standard access logs such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time of request. These are used for security and technical operation.

External links

This site links to NHS, charity and support websites. Their privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Medical information

Please do not post private medical records, identifiable third-party information or urgent medical requests in public community spaces. Urgent health concerns should be handled through appropriate medical services.
