Our Charitable Work

We are building more than information. We are building practical, charitable support for people living with Functional Neurological Disorder.

The journey to charitable status

FND Connect began as a trusted source of plain-English information and tools (including SeizeControl for daily tracking). We are now taking the next step: registering as a Charitable Incorporated Company (CIC) so we can directly help close real gaps in provision.

The gap we want to help close

Many people with FND face significant costs for equipment and therapies that fall outside standard NHS pathways or eligibility. These are often essential for safety, independence and managing fluctuating symptoms.

  • Mobility aids and home adaptations
  • Specialist or intensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation not routinely funded
  • Assistive technology and communication aids
  • Certain additional therapies for symptom management
Our commitment

Transparent processes developed with lived-experience input. Clear reporting on funds and support provided. Partnerships that multiply impact.

This work is in active development. We are laying foundations for CIC registration and initial fundraising.

How funds will make a difference

Mobility Aids

Wheelchairs, walking aids, home adaptations to help people stay independent and safe at home.

Specialist Therapies

Access to advanced physio, OT and rehab programmes that can reduce symptoms and improve daily life.

Assistive Tech

Communication aids, seizure detection devices and other tools that support safety and communication.

Transparency & governance

We are committed to full transparency. As we move toward CIC registration we will publish clear criteria for support, application processes developed with people who have lived experience of FND, and regular reporting on funds raised and how they are used.

We already operate under an adopted constitution and a full suite of policies, including safeguarding, data protection, conflict of interest and financial controls. You can read or download all of them on our Governance & Policies page.
